The Story Behind Jean Isabella

The name Jean Isabella is more than a pen name. It is legacy, love, and intention.

Jean was my mother’s name. After she passed in January 2024, I picked up my pen to honor her by writing the kind of consuming, passionate romances she would have loved to get lost in.

What began with one vivid dream became my debut novel, Vulnerable Dominant, and opened the door to the stories I was meant to tell.

Now I write contemporary Black romances with dominant heroes, strong heroines, and relationships built on consent, trust, vulnerability, and honesty. My stories live where the heart and the heat collide—and where Black women are loved well.

Thank you for being here and stepping into these worlds with me.
